Agreeing on a baby name with your partner can be tricky - you've got to find something you both like and something that's going to stand the test of time.
Selecting two baby names for twins is even more difficult, as one mum-to-be has recently discovered.
An unnamed mum has taken to Reddit to share her naming struggles with others and ask for advice on the predicament she's found herself in.
She explained how she and her husband had come up with a system to pick names they both liked - but she just learned that he had gone behind her back and promised a relative he'd use his choice on a name his wife can't stand.
"Husband and I are expecting twins," she wrote.
"I get to name one and he will name the other, we still get to veto the names.
"My husband told me he wanted to name one Claire, if we have a girl. Claire is his mother's name and she hates me.
"I also (no offense intended, just my opinion) think the name Claire is plain."
She continued: "I said we can give Claire as a middle name OR compromise and use the name Clara, similar names in my opinion.
"He went off on one about how the name has a huge meaning to him and how he was so excited, he had already promised his mother."
Instead of Claire, the mum-to-be was keen to name the twins Gabriella and Katherine if they were girls, with Claire as a middle name for Gabriella.
If they had boys, she liked Sterling, Elijah, George and Alexzander (with Zander for a nickname).
More than 600 people commented on the post, agreeing that her husband was in the wrong to make that promise.
One person said: "Hubby had absolutely no right to promise anything to his mom regarding wife or the baby without running it all past wife first.
"Doesn't matter if it's been a family tradition forever, or he's a mommy's boy, or whatever - you just don't do that sort of thing. Now it's up to him to go back and explain, and if that makes him uncomfortable, well that's just too bad. Time to put on his Big Boy Pants and do the right thing."
But many people were too distracted by the inclusion of a 'z' in the name Alexander to worry about the actual issue at hand.
"Good lord please don't name your child Alexzander," said a different user.
Another replied: "Why would you put that Z in there?!"
A third added: "I named my son Aleksander that's been bad enough. Also, as a Clara please don't doom your daughter to a life of Claire/Clara. It's frequently mispronounced, misspelled and completely butchered. Such a simple name and people just can't do it."
