Men do things in bed. They might think they're being absolute sex wizards, but sometimes they get it wrong. But what, above anything, is categorically the single worst 'performance' tactic men do? What really isn't helping matters along?
Apparently, it's men bragging about their own skills in the bedroom. According to a new study, women think that men who boast about their sexual prowess are not as exciting as they might think. Basically, it's a turn off.
The report, appropriately titled Do Women’s Orgasms Function as a Masculinity Achievement? , explores how macho, stereotypically manly men feel after sex, The Sun reports. And it appears that these types of guys might ruin the moment – or the calm time after it – by proclaiming their brilliance . The guys are making a woman's orgasm all about them, the man. When it's actually about her, the woman. The sexism alarm is ringing.
Lots of men base their masculinity on how good they are – or perceive they are – in bed. The research quizzed 810 men on their sexual habits, and how manly they feel after helping a woman climax. Men who are worried about their masculinity often feel better about themselves if their sexual partner orgasms. It's an ego boost. But while they might feel better, women don't.
