January, January, njaanuary... a tough month for many. My butcher had great chicken wings this week and I couldn’t resist them. I got myself two kilos and I knew exactly what I was going to do with them. The only other thing I needed to buy was Italian seasoning.
I did my mixture the morning I was going to cook the chicken wings (mixing beforehand gives the chicken and seasoning time to infuse). At dinner time, I popped the wings into the oven and 30 mins later, dinner was served. We enjoyed this with chips and coleslaw.
Prep Time: 5 mins
Cooking Time: 30 mins
Ready In: 35 mins
Ingredients:
2kgs chicken wings
50g Italian seasoning (available in major supermarkets)
Honey to taste
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 4500F
Place the chicken in a large mixing bowl and add the Italian seasoning. Use your hands to toss the wings and seasoning together until all the wings are coated.
Place the wings on a large non-stick baking tray in a single layer.
Bake in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until crispy and cooked through. Remove from oven, transfer to a serving platter, and drizzle with honey.
Serve with chips or just a salad.
