NAIROBI, KENYA: Nairobi based Professor Tian Shengxun has invented herbal concoction to remedy the effects of tuberculosis, HIV Aids and related complications.
The drug forms part of global efforts to find the elusive anti-retroviral therapy, and ensuring access to lifesaving medicine to end the AIDS epidemic by 2030. It comes at a time Traditional Chinese Medicines (TCM) have gained prominence in Africa, and are being used side-by-side with conventional medicines.
Also known as Tian Immunity Booster (TIB), it has started delivering new approach to effective and new HIV medicines, thus supporting those affected by HIV/ Aids. The first oral drug therapy has been clinically used for HIV/AIDS for the past almost 20 years mainly in Africa and Asia.
Speaking in Nairobi, Professor Shengxun says TIB blocks the fusion taking place between HIV and CD4 cells, stopping HIV from infecting CD4 cells. “HIV will rapture, or die, within 72 hours if HIV has not accessed CD4 cells. Therefore TIB offers true cure to HIV/Aids,” he says.
World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 370,000 Kenyans died last year of NCDs and the trend will only worsen. Speaking in Nairobi, Prof. Shengxun says as alternative HIV/AIDS therapy, patients using TIB can survive for more than 12 years. Studies conducted on TIB by Dr. Josef Schneider at Freiburg University (Germany) and similar studies at Biological Mimetics Inc in Maryland State (USA) reveal the drug can reverse HIV/AIDS symptoms.
TIB is manufactured through modern technology as proper compounds extracted from more than 30 different pure Chinese herbs.
