With Willy Paul and his gospel archrival Bahati now having to face Jaguar and Kristoff in the PMVA Best Male Video of the Year category as Avril, Size 8, Victoria Kimani and Suzanna Owiyo going head to head in the female category, the biggest bet is on as to who the 2015 greatest will be

"Oh, how I pray this time it will be different," Willy Paul Msafi updated on his Facebook page, giving thanks that his video Vigelegele has been nominated in the PMVA Best Male Video category.

It was a long write up that oozed fears drawn from past memories that did not only leave him and his gospel archrival Bahati fighting but also their fans who tore the gospel industry into two divides after Bahati swept the Groove Awards this year.

It was this humiliating experience Willy Paul seemed to be referring to in his post.

"I thank God that He has brought yet another big award ceremony, but the question is whether they (Pulse) are going to be fair enough to give the awards to the right people....to the song that deserves to win. Oh, how I pray that this time it will be different. Sio lazima nipate kitu, I just want justice to prevail.

"Hope they won't award through kujuana like watu wangine wenye tunawajua. It is high time someone brought change to the Kenyan showbiz. We used to have one major award ceremony. Now we have a new one...," he wrote.

And with that, the buzz begun and the votes started trickling in.

"Can Willy Paul and Bahati beat Jaguar in this one," a fan posted on the Pulse Magazine official Facebook page.

"Kristoff is the game changer in this one. I bet he will pull the surprise," another one said as the debated raged on.

All the categories being voted for in the PMVAs are quite competitive but as it seems, many Pulsers are keen to see how it all plays out in both the Best Male and Best Female categories come the PMVA gala night that will be held at IMAX 20th Century. Nairobi, next Friday.

With only two weeks of voting away from the tradition of many music awards that take a longer voting duration, the nominees have an uphill task to marshal their fans to vote so as to grand them a win. Winners will be decided through votes with the highest voted taking home the prestigious PMVA gong.

It is the first time Size 8 is meeting Avril in a dual since she ditched secular music for gospel as the two have been nominated in the Best Female Video category for their videos Stress (featuring AY) and Jemedari. They face a steep competition from Victoria Kimani thanks to her Show video and Wamiel, Suzanna Owiyo's video that shows a different side of her as she gets her 'swag' on with the Sarakasi dancers.
