Pulse: What is the one word that describes your fashion style? Jamal: Simple. The less complicated you look the more presentable you are, so less is always more.
P: Who are your two favorite style icons? J: That would be Jason Derulo and Simon Cowell because of how they manage to look dapper and modest all the time.
P: What influences your style? J: Life influences my style because each waking day is a blessing and I embrace the spirit of being alive by looking my best.
P: What's the most expensive item in your wardrobe? J: That would be an Aldo Piacci suit my mum bought me as a gift after winning The Presenter sequel. It goes for $1,999.
P: The fashion advice you live by... J: Wear what you are comfortable with, not because everyone is rocking it and dress how you would like to be addressed.
P: Who are your favorite designers? J: Locally I like John Kaveke while internationally I would go with Alexander McQueen.
P: If money wasn't a problem what would you like to purchase? J: I know a yacht is not a fashion item but it is an "accessory" that I would love to own someday.
P: What is the beauty regime you pay attention to? J: I pay the most attention to my hair because it grows real quick so I visit the barber every 72-hours to get a fresh cut in order to maintain my look. Other than that, I drink loads of water and go for facials at least monthly.
P: What is the fashion trend you dislike most? J: I hate sagging, any kind of sagging. Pants waistline should go where it belongs. The waist, not anywhere else.
P: What is your fashion guilty pleasure? J: Watches and colognes are what I hoard most. I wouldn't go anywhere without a watch and obviously a splash of perfume. I actually have 15 watches and a couple of colognes. My favourite being a Michael Kors watch and Issey Miyake's Leau D'issey.
P: Louis Vuitton or Tom Ford? J: Tom Ford, any day.
P: What is the last item you bought? J: I bought pink and blue lapel flowers.
P: Given that you are into fashion, who would you like to dress if you were a stylist? J: Eden Hazard of Chelsea because I don't like the way he dresses. He should make the effort to dress like the star he is.
