Woman's tea bag hack gets grimy baking tray looking good as new without any scrubbing

We love cooking extravagant dinners and comfort food, but the worst part of it has to be the cleanup at the end.

No one wants to spend ages scrubbing pots and pans and removing all the grease and grime.

But it seems we don't have to - and we have a TikTok user named Samira Kazan to thank for that.

In a video on the social media platform, Samira, who posts under @alphafoodie, showed how she had a sticky, grimy baking pan after making a meal.

Instead of covering it in washing up liquid and scrubbing with a sponge or scourer, she placed it on her kitchen side and added a tea bag.

She explained that the tea bag can be new or used.

You simply place it on the pan/tray and add hot water to cover all the dirt.

In the video, Samira then left the whole thing for about half an hour and then came back and showed how the water had all turned a dark brown colour.

She advises that for harder stains, to add a bit of vinegar to the pan along with the water.

To finish cleaning, she simply removes the tea bag and pours the water off, before rinsing the pan off under the tap.

The TikTok video has since gone viral, garnering over 199,000 views and more than 9,000 likes.

Hundreds of people also commented on the clip, with one saying: "An actual cleaning hack that's not just gimmicky!! Thank you!"

Another wrote: "Whoa! What sorcery is this?!"

A third replied: "No way!"

"That's so cool," proclaimed someone else.

Samira added: "If you try this at home please let me know if it works for you. It always works for me. Hot water and a tea bag."
