How you spot men who want to use love to leech off you

These male gold diggers are easy to spot. When you first meet him you will think you have hit the jackpot. He is a smooth talker and dresses well. Nice watch. Cool cologne. Killer shoes.

Once such a lizard has identified you as a possible target, he will make his move.

At first he will try to give you the impression that he has money; lots of money! He will even go as far as borrowing money from anyone he can still rip off. (More often than not, these guys owe everybody in their clique because they try to keep up with a lifestyle they can’t afford.)

Study his talk keenly. For a 'deals guy', he talks big but delivers zilch. He, for instance, would talk of how his companies make millions. But when you ask for a small loan of Sh1,000, he will come up with a million excuses.

He will take you out on an extravagant date and blow you away. A man who is charming and a baller! You won’t believe your luck. You will be instantly hooked! Once he knows he has you in the palm of his hands the mooching will commence.

These men are smart. A gold digging man won’t just come out and tell you that he is broke and needs money. He will tell you about some business deal he is trying to close that will pay off big time, but he needs a ‘little loan’ to make it happen. The loan is in quotes because you will never get back even a cent from him.

At this stage, you won’t question anything he tells you. Remember you are also head over heels in love and you want to impress him. So you will give him the money. Some women have even confessed to taking out loans to give to their mooching boyfriends.
