Mum's 'genius' hack for packing away Christmas tree will save you loads of time

Living

The Christmas tree is a staple in homes across the world during the festive period.

Some people go all out, having multiple trees around their house, adorned with sparkling baubles and tinsel, others keep it more simplistic with glistening white lights and a star on top.

No matter how you decorate your tree, there's no denying that the process of putting it up and taking it down can be incredibly frustrating.

But one mum has just shared a clever hack that's going to save people a lot of hassle next December.

Mum-of-two Renae Krivitz took to Facebook to reveal the unique method she used to put away her artificial Christmas tree this year. Instead of spending hours taking each carefully placed ornament down, she chose to leave them all on the tree and simply wrap the whole thing up in cling film.

She posted several photos of her "invention" to Facebook, writing: "My new time saving Christmas invention. No more decorating/undecorating. Wrap it and store it!"

Many people have seen her pictures and shared them.

There were also lots of comments on the post, with some branding her a "genius" for coming up with the idea.

One person wrote: "I think you are officially the smartest person I know."

Another said: "You just saved a lot of marriages."

A third proclaimed: "Genius!"

"I wish I had a closed tall enough to store the tree," added a fourth.

Aside from all the praise, one fellow Facebook user did share a quick warning to anyone thinking of trying the hack out for themselves.

They commented: "Would be a great idea as long as you can wrap it and keep any bugs or other pests that are looking for a warm place to build a home out of it."

So I guess we better hope Renae wrapped her tree up nice and tight, snug as a bug in a rug!
