Nairobi Catholic Diocese Bishop David Kamau has urged Christians across the country to have more children.
The bishop told the congregation at Mihahato Catholic Church to to add more children so that every family could have people in various careers.
"If we are not careful, very soon we might have no Catholic priests. With this trend of couples bearing two or three children, one will be a farmer, another a doctor and the other, a lawyer. We are left with no priests to take care of our spiritual needs," the bishop said.
He said the problem was rampant in Nairobi and Central regions, but was quick to add that other regions were also affected although not as seriously. He urged them to uphold family values.
