A Christmas deadline was the apparent motivator behind the full installation of all seats at the Kasarani Sports Stadium. Following the release of the entire shipment of the plastic seats, which was previously held up at the port of Mombasa, the construction company in charge worked day and night to install the entire seating arrangement in a record two weeks. Following a KTN spot-check of the venue, the sports stadia management board now stands by their completion date of March 2012 for the venue, saying that installation of the seats around the stadium had bought the construction crew sufficient time.
