Kim Kardashian felt that husband Kanye West wasn't willing to compromise during their ill-fated six-year marriage, it's reported.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, 40, pulled the plug on their union last week when she filed for divorce from the rapper.
Though it's said to be an amicable divorce, it seems as though there's more than meets the eye as a source close to the mother-of-four says she had strong feelings about Kanye's cooperation in the marriage.
"There is no drama between Kim and Kanye. Kim is mostly just disappointed that they couldn't figure out how to stay married," a source told People.
"But it takes two people to create a happy marriage. Kim has felt Kanye is not willing to do the hard work and compromise."
Kim is now surrounding herself with family as she continues to spend time with her kids while working on her various businesses.
The Mirror has contacted Kim's reps for comment.
Kim tied the knot with the Grammy award-winning rapper in a lavish ceremony in Italy back in 2014.
The pair then went on to welcome four children together; daughter North, seven, son Saint, five, daughter Chicago, two, and one-year-old son Psalm.
Kim is said to be asking for joint legal and physical custody of the children, and according to TMZ, Kanye is happy with the arrangement, and they are both committed to co-parenting together.
It's also reported that neither party is contesting the prenup and that the former couple are already far along in reaching a property settlement agreement.
The divorce documents have reportedly been filed by Laura Wasser, but don't list a date of separation.
Their divorce comes after reports that the estranged couple have been living separate lives for months.
The reality TV star has not been seen wearing her engagement ring in recent weeks as she stays with their four children in LA.
Meanwhile Kanye has been spending most of his time at his newly-purchased Sh1.535 billion ($14 million) Wyoming ranch.
