Uproar after Kenya’s 2020 Olympics kit is unveiled

Described by some as a hotbed of talent in track and field events, Kenya has often performed well in Olympics and is expected to continue doing so later this year in Tokyo.

However, this year’s kit, designed by NIKE, has left a lot to be desired if sentiments online are anything to go by.

The National Olympic Committee of Kenya on Wednesday evening shared photos of the latest kit but Kenyans were far from impressed, some even saying the design would affect the performance of the athletes.

The kit, which includes vests, elbow bands, tracksuits and hoodies, was heavily criticized despite the fact that it has colours of the national flag.

Some called for a better and brighter kit saying it looked too ‘busy’.
