Kirinyaga County Governor Ann Waiguru on Monday, December 16, 2019, broke her silence on King Kaka’s new song ‘Wajinga Nyinyi’.

Through her lawyers, the Governor accused the artiste of, among other accusations, publishing through his song accusations that are false, mischevious, malicious and have no basis.

This came after the rapper mentioned the Governor in the song and linked her to graft.

“Ati Waiguru ako kwa office na story ya NYS tulishasahau Biro moja alibuy 8 thao Biro tunanunuanga mbao” said King Kaka in his rap.

“Waiguru is in office, we have forgotten she bought one pen at Sh8000, we buy a pen at Sh20.” translates the line.

Waiguru’s legal team stated that the Governor has never been prosecuted before court and unless the rapper had evidence to accompany his allegations, he should submit to their demands.

The Governor’s legal team gave King Kaka 48 hours to, among other things offer an equivocal, unqualified and unreserved retraction and an apology to the Governor.

They further asked the rapper to permanently pull down the video from YouTube and all his social media platforms.

King Kaka is yet to respond to the governor or her demands.
