Kenya’s Covid-19 positivity rate is 14.5 percent, after three hundred and ninety-eight people tested positive for the disease from 2,745 samples conducted in the last 24 hours.
The total confirmed cases are now 329,107, while Covid tests conducted so far are 3,720,078.
The Health Ministry on Saturday announced that some two hundred and eighteen patients have also recovered from the coronavirus, with “one hundred and ninety-nine were discharged from the Home Based Isolation and Care program while nineteen were from various health facilities countrywide.”
Total recoveries now stand at 320,364, while fatalities remain 5,651.
According to Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, “70 patients are currently admitted in health facilities, while 3,022 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program, and one patient is in the ICU.”
Kenya has so far administered 18.6 million vaccines. 31.5 per cent of the adult population is fully inoculated.
