Cricket: Nairobi Buffaloes seek on Kongonis

Health & Science

By Feverpitch Reporter

Nairobi Buffaloes will seek to get revenge over their opponents when they host Kongonis at Nairobi Gymkhana as the Crown Berger sponsored regional cricket tournaments enter their seventh week this weekend.

Kongonis hold the upper hand going into this encounter after registering wins in both matches in their last meeting. Both teams missed key players in those clashes, the fixture having coincided with the National squad members visiting the Netherlands at the time. Today’s twenty20 match is live on SuperSport and the first in Kenya in this competition, which should add to the stakes.

Coast Pekee entertain Uganda’s Rwenzori Warriors hoping to use the home advantage to cause an upset and register their first win in the competition.

Nile Knights will welcome Rift Valley Rhinos at the Lugogo Stadium in Kampala. The two sides settled for a win each in their last encounter with the Knights winning the twenty20 match and Rhinos claiming the 50-over encounter.
