Former actress of The Real Househelps of Kawangware (TRHK) Bernice Njeri aka Njambi TRHK has revealed that she has walked out of her marriage due to domestic violence. In a YouTube interview with Mungai Eve, the mother of two revealed that her marriage was rocked with emotional and physical abuse. Njambi narrated one instance when she went out partying with her friends only for her husband to abuse her physically. "Sisi tumetoka out simu yangu ilikuwa imezimika so namwambia simu yangu imezimika na mimepanda matt ikakuwa a big issue akasema nilikuwa na wanaume..alitafuta evidence kwa simu akakosa akanirushia simu kwa macho. Nilikaa na black eye for one month." The actress further decried toxic dominance from her husband who objected when she landed a well-paying job at a law firm. Njambi said she felt suicidal while in the marriage. "This man was making me suicidal. I'm very grateful nilitoka huko juu yenyewe ningejimurder ...nilimwambia mimi niko very suicidal" Njambi, who recounted lacking the courage to walk out of the toxic marriage, urged victims of domestic violence to choose happiness and to find the courage to walk out of abusive marriages. The Thespian had a blended family with Nelson Njoroge with whom they raised three children together. Nelson and Njambi have two children from their previous relationships. The two also have a child together.
