Arsenal have reportedly submitted a £45million for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.
The Gunners continue to be linked with a move for the Frenchman, and respected Italian journalist Emanuele Giuilanelli, who writes for Gazzetta dello Sport, reports the mammoth bid has been tabled.
Giuilanelli tweeted: "Benzema deal is on: best offer is from Arsenal, £45m. They will take a decision soon. He wants to reach Wenger."
Arsenal will reportedly move for Borussia Dortmund frontman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang if the move for Benzema doesn't materialise.
