Kenya sugar board chairman saulo busolo wants safeguards stopping wholesome importation of sugar from comesa countries lifted earlier than next year to relief the country from shortages currently being experienced. He blamed distributors for the situation as fears arose that the situation may persist after reports that some of the imported sugar may be delayed. Sugar shortage has persisted across the country and prices gone above 420 shillings for a 2 kilogramme packet in the few outlets that it was available.
