The search for the independent electoral and boundaries commission went a notch higher with the swearing in of the selection panel that will vet IEBC members. The selection panel gets to work amid fears that there could be behind the scenes political maneuvers to try and influence the names that will be shortlisted. Chief justice Willy Mutunga cautioned the team against bending to external influence in vetting IEBC members. Former committee of experts chief executive Ekuru Aukot heads the selection panel.
