It is all systems go in the agricultural town of Eldoret, one of the key battlegrounds for the proponents and opponents of the proposed constitution. Being a cosmopolitan region, there have been fears of possible violence but residents, government officials and the interim electoral commission are upbeat the process will run as planned without a hitch. Police patrols have been intensified in the town and its environs as d-day approaches.
