This enticing little number came to life during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown back towards the end of 2019. It is packed with some deliciously common ingredients that some people had while indoors during the quarantine period. It is a fun and festive cocktail, great for casual home parties, virtual hangouts, or small get-togethers. The Quarantini’s fizzy finish with champagne or prosecco makes it perfect for celebrating special occasions or simply enjoying a relaxed weekend.

INGREDIENTS:

Cointreau(30ml)

Cranberry Juice (30 ml)

Gin (45 ml)

Apple Juice (15 ml)

Champagne or Prosecco.

Ice cubes.

HOW TO MAKE A QUARANTINI

Start by adding the Cointreau, gin, apple juice and cranberry juice into a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake the mixture well for about 10-15 seconds until the outside of the shaker becomes chilled and frosted. Then, slowly drain the chilled mixture into a cocktail glass. Top up the drink with some champagne or prosecco, depending on your choice. Then carefully garnish your cocktail with an apple slice and serve. You can get creative with your garnishing depending on your preference.

The Quarantini is a flexible drink, so you can easily swap ingredients. If you don’t have Cointreau, you can use other orange liqueurs like Grand Marnier or Triple Sec. If you don’t have cranberry juice, try pomegranate juice instead. For a non-alcoholic version, skip the gin and champagne, and use sparkling water or ginger ale to keep the refreshing fizz.

For best results, chill all your ingredients and glass before mixing. Shake the gin, orange liqueur, cranberry juice, and apple juice with ice for about 15 seconds. Then strain into a cold glass and top with champagne or prosecco. This gives you a cool, well-mixed, and delicious cocktail every time.
