Meet Celestine Kerubo the expert behind a thriving business built upon the artistry of nails and a passion that transcends mere trends.

With an eye for detail and an innate understanding of everything nails, Celestine has not just painted nails but also painted a narrative of empowerment and self-expression.

Trial and error are the cornerstone of creativity! Embracing experimentation often leads to groundbreaking discoveries and unique approaches that set you apart. Celestine Speaks on where she draws her inspiration

“I am generally a creative person, so I do a lot of trial and error. Also, I keep up with social media nail trends by following nail techs all over the world to learn what the market is loving,” she says.

Her evolution as a nail artist has not only amplified her technical abilities, but has also changed overall client experience, offering a blend of precision, personalization and convenience.

“A client can easily send an inspiration picture of a nail set they came across and I am able to get their nail sizes (using a picture of their hand) then I can paint the design for them,” Celestine says.

“Getting a client’s measurements can be in form of a picture with a coin on the side then I can place same coin on phone and zoom in to fit the actual coin, now I can place nails on top of the nail beds since it’s in the right ratio Alternatively, clients can measure their nail beds using tape then place against a ruler and get measurements in mm. I prefer the latter,” she says.

“I stay on top of my social media game. I discover and learn a lot by being active on Instagram and ‘Nail Tok’. Being a fast learner and being equipped with resources ensures I miss nothing; I jump on trends as they come strategically. It surely helps to offer new nail designs more affordably at nail bars before the trend dies or get cold,” explains Celestine.

Her trajectory displays strategic progression within the industry, transitioning from service-oriented businesses to product-based ventures.

“I am proud of being financially stable through my nail business. I have started to diversify a private nail tech for mostly house calls as I work in my nail room. I am aiming to start a gel and nail supplies company under Boss Gyal very soon, which I am ecstatic about,” Celestine says.

“I am also working on a press on nail eBooks to launch next year under my online courses where I’ll be coaching beginner nail techs and generally anyone who would like to learn to do their own nails to save money in this economy. The fact that that you can press them on by yourself at home makes this much better than other nail enhancements.

Research shows that press-ons are the least damaging to your natural nails. Moreover, press-ons can be used with jelly sticky tabs, which are removable after a day, this makes it suitable for Muslim women, mothers, nurses and hospitality personnel. The benefits are endless! Every woman should have at-least two sets of presses on nails because who knows? You will definitely need them.”
