Confessions: Other men love my boyfriend

Between The Sheets

Dear Coleen

I’ve just met a lovely man, who has admitted to me that he’s had relationships with men. He has told me that he isn’t gay, but says he is bisexual.

But when we go out he gets so much attention from men – more attention in one night than I’ve had in my lifetime! I really like him and he’s a genuine, loving and an all-round lovely guy.

So I don’t want to call things off just because of my paranoid mind and trust issues.

What do you suggest?

Coleen says

If you’re saying that you have trust issues then I’m not sure this is the guy for you.

It’s not the bisexual thing that would bother me, but the fact he clearly gets a lot of attention when he’s out. It sounds like he doesn’t just have women flirting with him, but men too.

What I’m saying is he’s got a lot of choice and if he’s flirty then that would be a problem.

If you feel secure with him and OK about the attention he gets then fine, go for it.

But you sound worried so have a long think about whether you think this relationship has a future.
