The very handsome and talented, Omarion, is our #MCM this week. You probably remember Omarion for his amazing vocals in the successful early 2000s boy band B2K and when he starred in David in You Got Served and himself in Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood.
For the past few months, Omarion has been hailed by his fans as the ‘Unbothered King’, or as some say, ‘O’bothered’. He earned this title when he chose not to react negatively to news of his former bandmate and close friend, Lil’ Fizz, dating the mother of his two children, Apryl Jones.
Many people around the world felt that what Lil’ Fizz did was the ultimate level of betrayal and went completely against bro code. While Lil’ Fizz and Apryl were slandering Omarion’s name, he (Omarion) was living his life like normal and only speaking positively about them when asked.
Omarion handled himself with maturity and grace and, in the end, came out on top. He has shown us that, in life, we can choose to react to challenges positively or just not react at all. Sometimes, the best response is no response and that is why Omarion is this week’s #MCM.
