8 signs that prove your partner is manipulative

Relationships

When two people love each other, it is supposed to be that simple. Nothing should wreck their relationship or connection they have. There should not be toxicity or unhealthy arguing, and everything they struggle with, they should discuss and fix as soon as possible. If one partner has a need to manipulate another, it is unhealthy and rarely reparable. If you decide to commit to your partner, there are some, let’s say, tasks and duties.

To gain the happiness in the relationship means that you need to trust your partner, just as with being honest to them. It also means that you need to respect him or her so you can expect them to respect you, too. The most important thing is to never agree to stay in a relationship based on manipulation. Always have in mind that you agreed to be in a happy and healthy relationship. You don’t have to stay with someone who doesn’t make you happy – and you most certainly don’t owe your love to someone who makes you feel unhappy in yourself. Here is how to know if your partner is manipulative

He is charming at the beginning of the relationship. Your partner will make sure that you gained the trust at the beginning. The least he can do is to be nice and charming. You will fall in love faster, so he could be able to start his manipulation.

He will lie to you more than you can handle. Then it comes to deceiving you. Even when there is no need for lies, he will try to wreck the truth in order to distract you even more.

He evades those problems you want to talk about. At first you are trying to talk, but soon enough you find yourself wondering if anything that you say actually matters. His intention is to make you believe so.

He uses your words against you. This one he does to confuse you once again. The easiest way to make you not know what you actually want from him is to assure you that it is always your fault for everything bad that happens.

He will make you believe that you are overly sensitive. No matter what problem are you two facing, somehow it is not a big deal for him. And he will make you think the same.

He blames you for every problem in the relationship. This is the time when he makes sure that you think he is a victim. In this case you are a manipulative person, and if you can just be clever enough to actually turn this into your well-being, you would win.

He gets so mad when you are arguing. It may not be up to you, but every time you argue, he gets kind of aggressive. This is because he wants to get rid of guilt, so being aggressive is the easiest way to deal with the issue he is blamed for.

He is always the main character in your relationship. This is very easy, because you can’t spot the toxicity of your relationship. You simply don’t have the time to deal with it. So you are not aware that you are unhappy and that you are dealing with a manipulative partner.

If you were to travel through time, where would you go?
