The first time I cooked this awesome recipe, my cost was about Sh900 for four servings.
I have since then cut it down to just below Sh500. I buy minced meat, cabbage and carrots on the day I am making the wraps.
The best part of this recipe is that it takes 20 minutes from start to finish.
Yields: 4
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Ready In: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
8 pancake-thin chapati’s
400g minced meat
1 onion (medium) chopped
175g (1 cup) sweet corn, drained
170g (1/2cup) bottled barbeque sauce (extra for serving)
200g (2 cups) shredded cabbage with carrot (coleslaw mix)
Directions:
Cook the minced meat and onions until meat is brown and onions are tender.
Stir in the corn and barbecue sauce. Cook and stir until heated through.
To serve, spread one side of each chapati with some barbecue sauce.
Spoon meat mixture on each. Add some shredded cabbage mix. Roll to make a wrap.
