The rift between a Cabinet Secretary and Deputy President William Ruto is growing wider by the day.
Weeks after the CS declared to some of his supporters that he is seriously considering going for the top seat, the top government official has decided to snub meetings attended by the DP.
Recently, when Ruto toured a region considered to be the stronghold of the minister, he was conspicuously absent, a move that did not go unnoticed.
Key lieutenants of the CS have discouraged him against the idea of contesting for the presidency, warning that it is a bad move and he is likely to be thrust into political oblivion again.
