Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has heeded to the cries of ailing media personality, Njambi Koikai.
Njambi reached out to Governor Joho about three weeks ago in a moving plea where she recounted how she has knocked all the doors seeking assistance.
“I have tried everything. I have knocked on all the doors you can ever think of. Today I humbly ask you my fam to kindly help me tag His Excellency Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan to kindly assist me with this last part of the fundraiser,” read part of her post.
A grateful Njambi on Friday revealed on her Instagram account that governor Joho had contributed Sh1 Million towards her medical fund.
“Hey, Fam! I can’t even begin to comprehend what your continued and relentless support has meant to me. I want to take a moment to thank you all for your acts of kindness and especially to those who responded to my plea to reach out to @joho_001 H.E Governor Ali Hassan Joho. Mheshimiwa responded and contributed Ksh 1m to my fund which has gone a long way in lifting my hospital bill.” She posted.
“Thank you all so much for supporting me in my battle against endometriosis, you have been with me all the way and I am so blessed to have your support. Mheshimiwa @joho_001, thank you once more for your generosity. My God bless you!#jahmbybeatingendo #endometriosiswarrior” she continued.
She has spent the last 7 months in Atlanta, USA, where she is undergoing thoracic endometriosis treatment - a condition which causes her lungs to collapse regularly.
This is after battling intense period pain for 19 years not knowing there was more to it.
She had previously informed her online followers that to have the ailment treated, she needs Sh10 million.
