- A presidential candidate has angered his constituents after he failed to turn up to vote
- Villagers had camped at the station wanting to catch a glimpse of him
- Journalists who had camped at the polling station left dejected
One of the presidential candidates last week set tongues wagging at his constituency.
This after the candidate failed to show up at his polling station and vote for himself.
Villagers who had camped at the polling centre expecting to catch a glimpse of their popular son who wanted to unseat President Uhuru Kenyatta were left disappointed after it emerged that he was holed up in Nairobi.
Similarly, journalists who had camped at the polling station left a dejected lot after it became clear that the man had 'boycotted' the vote.
Unsurprisingly, the popular politician performed dismally.
