A flamboyant pastor has stepped aside from his church after being accused of rape.
Biodun Fatoyinbo of the popular Commonwealth of Zion Assembly church in Abuja, Nigeria was accused by a celebrity photographer of raping her.
According to BBC, Busola Dakolo claimed Fatoyinbo raped her twice before she turned 18.
In a viral video circulating on social media since last week, Dakolo claimed to have been first raped by the pastor at her father’s house.
The second rape incident allegedly happened along a secluded road.
Following the accusations, protesters with placards reading “thou shall not rape,” held demonstrations at different branches of Fatoyinbo's church on Sunday.
The damning accusations have prompted the pastor to step down, saying he was taking "leave of absence from the pulpit," saying it’s the right thing to do.
