Woman arrested after she recorded cops forcefully eject a passenger from a PSV

A commuter was on Tuesday morning arrested after she recorded police officers forcibly ejecting a passenger to impound a vehicle that had flouted traffic rules.

The woman, Njeri wa Muthoni, was a passenger in the vehicle and protested the treatment of her fellow passenger at the hands of the officers.

Traffic police officers manning the Thika Super Highway route stopped the vehicle and pulled a woman out of the passenger seat of the PSV in the Tuesday morning incident.

Passengers on board the PSV questioned the manner in which the woman was removed from vehicle stating that she had rights that must be respected.

The officers however turned on Ms Muthoni who was recording the incident on her smartphone before subsequently posting it to social media.
