Abduba Dida terms National Prayer Day as blasphemous, says politicians must respect God

Former presidential candidate Abduba Dida has dismissed the National Prayer Day held on Sunday October 22 ahead of repeat poll terming it as hypocritical and blasphemous and asked the politicians to respect God.

“Somebody says, ‘today is a prayer day, mwalimu can you come? It is a prayer day’, I see that as a blasphemy. Before you ask God, before you pray, first meet the conditions there is a criteria,” said Dida.

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Sunday led the nation in the National Prayers ahead of the repeat presidential poll slated for October 26. The President and his Deputy urged Kenyans to shun away politics and maintain peace during the elections.

Mr Dida on the other hand urged Kenyans to vote but not to be used by politicians during the elections. He also said that the people who did not want to vote should stay at home and not interfere with the ones who will vote.

“I urge Kenyans to vote on October 26. Kenyans should only be worried about the country succeeding. If we do not consider peace on Thursday, there will be no country. Those who do not want to vote should stay at home and not interfere with those who want to exercise their democratic right,” said Dida.

Abduba Dida also went ahead and said that Kenyan will not go anywhere if National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga is elected or President Uhuru Kenyatta given another term. Dida said he was the best person to lead the country.

“If Raila will be elected or President Kenyatta given another term, Kenya will go nowhere. They are the same players and they will not solve your problems. I am the solution,” continued Dida.
