State House spokesperson Kanze Dena on Tuesday spoke about prayer sessions at the house on the hill but clarified that there were was no Bible Study.

Speaking during an interview on Hope FM, Dena admitted that staff often have fellowship although at times she misses out due to the busy nature of her job.

"I may not be able to attend the fellowship but I know the topics they discuss and also I brought my Bible to the office for personal reading.


"Now that I hear it (the National Anthem) over and over again it has become my personal prayer. It is what I actually use to pray for the country.

“The words are empowering and essentially what we thrive for as a nation," she said.

On matters development, the former news anchor urged young people to change their approach and focus on activities that will empower them economically.

“As young people, we need to change our mindset and engage in activities that will empower us economically.

“There are many opportunities under the #Big4Agenda that require us to think innovatively,” she said.

Further, Dena maintained that President Uhuru Kenyatta is leading the war on corruption and asked the nation to come together and defeat it.

"Corruption is a cancer that is eating away the Kenyan soul and we all agree that for us to succeed as a nation we must unite in fighting it.

“That's why the President is leading the corruption war from the front,” she said.
