Just hours after Imran Okoth (ODM) was announced as the winner of the Kibra by-election, Raila Junior took a swipe at Deputy President William Ruto.

The DP, through Twitter, had warned ODM to be wary of Jubilee in the 2022 election and went ahead to present numbers to back up his claims.

“Pongezi Benard Okoth for Kibra. Congrats Mariga, Team Jubilee & supporters for daring the so called 'bedroom', braving the chaos/violence, to double our vote from 12%(2017) to 26% now. Our competitors came down 78% (2017) to 52%. They retained the seat we have served notice,” said the DP.

Raila Jr quickly responded by telling the DP that things are different on the ground and he should stop being bitter.

“Notice of Tenure, Kwa ground ni different, kula ndimu zako pole pole, TIBIM!!!”

He also took the opportunity to congratulate McDonald Mariga who emerged second.

“Congratulations my brother @ImranOkoth for your soberness in victory, psalm 18:43 “you gave me victory over my accusers. You appointed me ruler over nations; people I don’t even know now serve me”

“@MarigaOfficialyou are gracious in defeat very humble,” wrote Raila Jr.

Earlier, Mariga conceded defeat and promised Imran that he was ready to work with him in his bid to change the face of Kibra.
