Few political parties not solution to tribalism in Kenya, MP tells President Uhuru

Kuresoi South MP Zakayo Cheruiyot has told President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy, William Ruto, that the newly formed Jubilee Party is not a panacea to end tribalism.

Mr Cheruiyot wants the Government to instead ensure equal distribution of resources and public service jobs.

The MP wants the Jubilee leaders to stop playing politics with the lives of Kenyans by employing diversionary tactics, and concentrate on implementing the development projects they promised.

"The only way to bring unity and peace, and stop tribalism is for the Jubilee administration to ensure there are equal job opportunities, share the national cake equally and empower the populace economically," he said.

"Why are the Jubilee leaders too eager to collapse parties to join a party, which has already been rocked with controversy? Isn't this a simple issue of thirst for power? The top leaders must first deliver on all the pledges they made," he added.
