Covid-19: Kenya records 136 new cases as 176 recover

136 people confirmed Covid-19 positive in the last 24 hours after 3,787 samples were tested bringing total infections to 99,444 and cumulative tests to 1,134,494

Fortunately, 176 patients have recovered from the disease, 162 from the Home-Based Care Program, while 14 have been discharged from various hospitals. This increases the cumulative recoveries to 82,654.

Sadly, two patients have succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of fatalities in the country to 1,736.

There are 686 patients admitted in various health facilities countrywide and 1,625 on Home Based Isolation and Care.

An additional 30 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 14 of whom are on ventilatory support, and 14 on supplemental oxygen. Two patients are under observation.

Another 11 patients are separately on supplementary oxygen out of whom 10 are in the general wards. One patient is in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).
