Kanyari is a controversial pastor with a penchant for stirring up headlines, receiving gifts, and attracting a series of women enamoured by the "man of God's handsome looks, fame, and children." "Na unalala hapo (between boobs) hapo katikati," Kanyari tells Rish Kamunge, with whom they have been flirting online. The pastor, also known as Bishop Mwangi after appearing on KTN, recently admitted during a sermon at his Salvation Healing Ministry church in Nairobi that his controversial "mbegu ya 310" money request from followers was not intended for miracles but rather as a way to escape poverty. "Mimi ndio nilikuwa mhubiri anaongea Nairobi, hakukua na mwingine. Kina Ezekiel na Ng'ang'a hawakuwa, mimi ndio nilikuwa naongea hii town. Lakini sikuwa na pesa, ndio maana nikaanza kuitisha (Sh)310. "Nikasema panda mbegu ya 310 na tusibishanebishane. Si kutaka kwangu, umaskini ulikuwa umenitandika sawasawa," Kanyari confessed. The preacher continued, revealing that he is now wealthy, owning multiple cars, some of which he doesn't even have space to park, and ensuring his children receive quality education in good schools. "Nikaanza kuitisha 310 my friend, lakini sikujua Mungu alinipatia akili na maarifa, pesa nitajitafutia. Mungu alinipa annointing, lakini haikuwa annointing ya pesa. Ilikuwa ya kuponya watu magonjwa," Kanyari added. In 2014, KTN's investigative programme, Jicho Pevu, uncovered Kanyari's deceitful practices, where he orchestrated fake miracles behind church curtains to deceive his followers into sending him Sh310 for prayers. Kanyari made headlines three years ago for using potassium permanganate to fake miracles, convincing followers that his prayers cure diseases by having them step into water that turned purple. Now rebranded as Bishop Mwangi, he offers "reloaded" miracles for a discounted Sh250 seed offering, with a slightly altered voice. "I got divorced. I have two children, one in America and one locally. My wife asked for 350,000 shillings for school fees," he said on TikTok. Kanyari has now been giving out money gifts to praise, win souls, and expand his social media territory, where women can't stop declaring love for him. "Ukikunywa pombe utakuwa horny," Kanyari explains to Rish Kamunge, a woman they have been heavily flirting online, holding a whiskey bottle, shaking her boobs, and goes ahead to explain, "Matiti yako ni kubwa." And he adds that in the undated videos, he will find love on TikTok, where he has been holding live shows, promising the audience that he will find love on. "Love has no boundaries, you can love the old and the young," Kanyari quotes Rish Kamunge, a charismatic TikTok sensation whose bold advances have turned heads and sparked intrigue across the internet. "I will tell you that I will love you tonight. And I know I got time on my side. What is love if you are not here with me?" Kamunge sings, declaring her love for Kanyari, who remains smiling like a child, just as when new love hits you. In a series of interesting viral videos, Kamunge unabashedly professes her admiration for Kanyari, labeling him her man and proposing grand gestures that promise to push the boundaries of their budding relationship. Kamunge boldly suggested showcasing their love on a billboard in the heart of Nairobi-an audacious move that would undoubtedly send shockwaves through the city's streets.
