Let’s be honest, a holiday is not a holiday without some fun and celebration and since the outbreak of the pandemic, fun has been elusive. Most celebrations like birthdays and anniversaries are currently being done remotely with family members only and Easter is no exception.
With the pandemic still looming and people social distancing, it has not been easy for most parents to engage their children in fun activities let alone leave the house. However, this does not mean you should watch the holiday pass you by, here are some fun and safe activities your children could be part of:
Organize a treasure huntSince it is the egg season, what better way to celebrate than to organize an indoor treasure hunt? Children love mystery but not as much as they love gifts and this will keep them motivated and entertained throughout the weekend.
Indoor gamesIt’s never a dull day at home playing board games and video games with your children. In most cases children have a notion that parents are too busy and cannot participate in their games, it’s time to disapprove your children and take that win home.
KaraokeIf you love to compete and sing then this is the perfect way to get the party started during this season. Not only is karaoke fun but it will give your children a chance to experience a side of you they never get to have or see on normal days.
Plan a photo shootEven though you won’t be going for that planned vacation or staycation at that hotel, you can still plan a shoot and have new family portraits. Children love photos or rather any excuse to dress up and an organized shoot is a sure deal for them enjoying their day to the fullest.
Organize a picnicWho said you couldn’t go out on a short road trip and have some fun while at it? Picnics can be fun especially when you get a location that is free and with enough space to play some games. Picnics are also safer since you will be spending time away from civilization.
Backdoor campingThere is nothing stopping you from utilizing that space behind your house, you could erect a tent and enjoy some fun and games with your children. Or you could bring out the inflatable pool and just relax with the kids outside as they play water balloons, with children any excuse to play with water is always welcome.
