#MotivationalMonday: 7 types of friends every woman must have

I have always been blessed to be surrounded by amazing women. But as the seasons of life change, there are those I had to let go by choice; but there are those who left by force. It is just how life is. One thing is certain though - we all need a good friend (or two or many).

There are conversations that are just meant for girlfriends and not necessarily our significant other. I know if I’m in a crisis or in dying for a night out, I have that friend who will always come through in such times.

We might not hang out as much as I would like, but I appreciate to have these women in my life. Here are seven type of friends I am blessed to have and think every woman should have.

The counsellor

There are many times in a girl’s life when sober advice is called for. This is that woman who has been there and done it, so every advice given is based on her experience. For some reason you are comfortable sharing very intimate and private details with her that you would never share with anyone else. This type of friend is level headed and won’t judge you. You feel so much better after your conversations with her.

The motivator

This one is your ultimate cheerleader. She handles her business like a real boss and you take note of every step she takes. She gives you every reason to dig deeper and go after what you really want in life. She’s the one that inspires you to dust off your vision board and get back on track.

The crazy one

We all have our crazy moments but there’s that one friend who doesn’t judge you and goes with the flow. She will indulge in as much as you and she is very good at making sure that what happens in Rome is left in Rome. What a friend?

 The blunt one

This one says as it is. Sugar coating has never been a vocabulary in her life. This one comes in handy when everyone around you is walking on eggshells not to hurt your feelings. She dictates the facts as they are in a sisterly way. So it is upon you to take it or leave it.

The supporter

This is the one you call when in doubt. Be it investment or relationship matters, this one will always cheer you on and is forever excited for you. She will always have your back.

The sensible one

This is the one you call when you want to do something you shouldn’t be doing or aren’t sure of. She will always give you a different and more calm point of view to keep you out of trouble.

The spiritual one

This one has the right verse from the Bible to every situation or need you might be in. You always count on her to pray for you - she’s like your spiritual sister that keeps you on your toes, and empowers you to be still and listen.
