Eva Carneiro seeking damages from Jose Mourinho for sexual discrimination

Eva Carneiro's dispute with Chelsea and manager Jose Mourinho will be heard by an employment tribunal early next year, according to reports.

Sky Sports cite sources saying the former club doctor will have her case heard on January 6.

She is claiming against the club for constructive dismissal and will fight to be given her job back at Stamford Bridge.

Carneiro is also reportedly taking individual legal action against Mourinho for sexual discrimination.

The 42-year-old was dismissed by Chelsea earlier in the season following an incident during the Blues' clash with Swansea on the opening day of the Premier League.

With the match level at 2-2 and Mourinho's side chasing an injury-time winner, Carneiro and head physio Jon Fearn carried out their duties by entering the pitch to treat the injured Eden Hazard.

However, Mourinho was furious with the pair and branded Carneiro "impulsive and naive" for holding up play while the team went in search of a late winner.

Earlier this month the chairman of FIFA's medical committee, Michel d'Hooghe, threw his weight behind Carneiro in her battle with the club.

"Of course I support Eva Carneiro," D'Hooghe told Press Association. "She did her job, she did her duty. When somebody is medically in trouble she has to intervene. She has my support and that of the whole medical committee.

"I have had email contact with her and she is very happy with the global support of the medical world in football.

"I can imagine in the short term she might have some problems with that [finding another job] but with her personality and her competence she must certainly have a great future and if I can help her I will."
