British foreign secretary William Hague says Kenya's international standing and reputation will be soiled should Kenyans decide to elect individuals indicted by the international criminal court for crimes against humanity to political office. At the same time, William Hague is urging Kenyans political leadership and the public to continue with efforts to overcome a repeat of what he describes as “a painful legacy of post election violence” that was witnessed in early 2008.
