The world is at the verge of eradicating rinderpest, a viral disease that is deadly to livestock. The European union has pumped in about 40 billion shillings in Africa in a bid to ensure that the animals are completely free of the virus. However, the EU head of delegation Eric van der linden says areas around Somalia are the most challenging to tackle in the fight to eradicate the disease.
