Prime Minister Raila Odinga joined his Orange Democratic Movement colleagues in sending condolence messages to the family of Shinyalu MP Charles Lugano Lilechi, who died on Monday morning.
The PM said he had learnt of Lilechi’s death at Nairobi Hospital with sadness.
"The country has lost an intellectual and a dedicated individual who believed in change for development and worked very hard to realize success in all what he undertook," said the PM in his message.
"It is a big blow to the ODM party to loose one of their own at this time when we are struggling for reforms to transform this country."
Lilechi, said the PM, would be remembered for his contributions as an informed MP and his zeal as a prominent businessman.
