National and Nairobi schools hockey champions Pangani are among four teams that have qualified for the provincial semi-finals at Jamhuri High today and on Tuesday.

Pangani advanced in great style without dropping a point and conceded one goal in their nine matches at the end of the league phase at Hillcrest Secondary.

They topped the league with 27 points and 60 goals. The other semi-finalists are former champions Hillcrest who finished runners-up with 22 points, St George’s (20) and State House (16).

Nairobi hockey co-ordinator, James Akweri said on Sunday the top two teams after the semi-finals qualify for the provincial championships at Hillcrest Secondary on Saturday.

The national games will be held at Kangaru during the first week of April.

On Saturday, St George’s settled for a barren draw with Hillcrest and Moi Nairobi, Hillcrest beat State House 2-0 while Moi Nairobi drew 0-0 with Precious Blood.
