Christmas ready? Fashion pieces you should own this season

Fashion Tips

Although Christmas is fast approaching, a season supposedly for sharing and getting together, most people are not about enthusiastic about this year’s festivities. Owing to the pandemic, people can no longer freely socialize or stay out late partying due to curfew and social distancing regulations.

Nonetheless, this shouldn’t be a reason to not look good for those family photos or numerous video calls. We look at some essential pieces that can have you holiday ready, either at home with family or out having a cosy time with friends:

A little black dress (LBD)

In doubt of what to wear over dinner or that last dinner with your friends before you head on for the holidays? A little black dress will always have your back.

Black is easy to accessorize and pair with other pieces not to mention how amazing you will look in photos in it. Also, in case of accidents like drink spills or food splutters, a black dress will easily mask the mess.

Maxis

For this holiday you can ditch those sweats and focus more on your maxi skirts and dresses. As much as sweatpants and shirts are laid back and comfortable, they somehow dampen the Christmas spirit.

Instead of going full jeans and gowns, maxi skirts and dresses can also work. The flowerier the better, even though you will barely leave the house, your outfit can still stay stylish.

Sweater tops

Looking for laid back pieces that will still make you look fabulous this season? Look no further, sweater tops are the way to go.

They can work both ways, whether you want to stay in the house or go for a walk. The best part is that you don’t need to over accessorize, the simpler it stays the better.

Also, go for sweaters that are slightly oversize that will give your whole look some edge.

A trench coat

Not only has the pandemic made the season unpredictable but the weather also seems to be playing hide and seek. One minute it could be sunny, the next it is raining.

With such uncertainties a trench coat will always come in handy when you leave the house. With a good looking trench coat, you don’t have to layer your outfits to look stylish.

Boots

Last but not least you will need a good pair of boots. Go for the lighter shorter ones that can be worn through warm and cold weather.

Boots will automatically elevate any outfit whether in a dress, skirt or trouser. It would be best to go with shoes that are comfortable since the holiday is all about indulging and fun. You don’t want to miss out in all the fun because of uncomfortable shoes.
