Due to their position in the company many assumptions have risen regarding this position. Both good, bad and outrageous. Among the most hard working and qualified people in any organization, they are oftenly judged for the position.

They are busy.
People tend to think that CEO’s are the boss due to their busy schedule. That is not the case always! As leaders they lead from the front by this they earn respect by setting examples and provide space with humility for better ideas from the team.
They're privileged.
CEO’s don't just drop out of the sky into comfortable corner-offices! Just like other employees they work their way up the ladder through hard-work and patience.
They are Dictators.
Most of us consider that CEO’s cannot be questioned and what they say must be done. People think that they don’t make mistakes and that they have complete authority, but that’s not the case. They ensure each department they are assigned execute their duties as required.
You need a Title to lead.
Just like any other person a leader must earn the right to be followed and leadership is about making things better not only for the organization but also for the employees alike. Therefore the title just doesn’t come, it comes with responsibilities.
It’s an easy job.
The job comes with numerous challenges and impossible responsibilities. This is because managing large scale business operations is hard. They just don’t sit down and get work done by commanding and controlling their subordinates!
Make all Important Decisions Alone.
Wise CEO’s they seek to strike a balance in power by recruiting experienced board of directors and senior management team. Therefore he/she alone does not make all the important decisions because they have to consult the board as well as heads of other departments.
