5 natural ways to remove skin tags

The quest for beauty has led many to strange places in search of reprieve to achieve the unrealistic standards set by photo shopped magazines and airbrushed celebrities. Of those so called ugly detractors are skin tags. This is a painless and benign outpouching of skin that appears on the underarms, neck, upper chest, groin and under the breasts.

Although they pose no health risks they tend to get on the way sometimes and this can lead to inflammation and injury. While they can be removed surgically at the request of a patient, good news is they can be removed safely, cheaply and naturally in the comfort of your home.

1.Apple cider vinegar

A good natural treatment for both skin tags and warts due to the acetic acid it contains, a few weeks of rubbing it onto the sin will dry up the hanging skin which will eventually break off. Wash the area with a natural soap and pat dry it. Using a tooth pick, rub off some skin and apply a dab of apple cider vinegar to a cotton ball and apply directly. Let it sit for a few hours and rinse. Repeat this for fast results.

2.Oregano oil

With many uses, oregano oil helps fight different types of infections, viruses and inflammation that can affect the skin. The best part about it is, the compounds it contains remove fibromas and prevent them from appearing on other parts of the body. Dip a cotton ball in the oil and apply twice daily. Let it stay for a while then rinse.

3.Onion juice and salt

The sulphur in onions contains a number of antibacterial properties that treat a number of infections. Finely chop an onion and mix with sea salt preferably and let it stay overnight. Squeeze the juice out and apply directly to the skin tag. Leave it on and apply a bandage. Repeat for two weeks and results should be seen.

4.Tea tree oil

According to research, tea tree is the best treatment for skin tags and warts overall. Rich in antibiotics and antiviral properties that kill pathogens, you are almost guaranteed of clear skin. After cleaning the area, apply the oil directly and leave it on. Repeat this process until it disappears.

5.Pineapple juice

Rich in bromelain, pineapple juice is a strong contender in shrinking and preventing skin tags from spreading. Bromelain is an enzyme extracted from the stem of the pineapple plant (ananas comosus) that is known to have anti-inflammatory effects as well as antiviral action. To treat, crush pieces of pineapple chunks and add a few drops of lemon juice and mix. Apply directly on clean skin and leave it for a few hours. Repeat as often as you can for quick results.
