Don’t be the drunk shoeless woman who can’t endure heels

Women and footwear go hand in hand. Anybody who knows me knows I love my high heels. Not solely because I am vertically challenged, but because a good pair of heels has the power to transform you into a hotter, more confident woman in seconds.

High heels elongate the legs, making us taller. They also change our body stance, making our calf muscles more pronounced and forcing our busts and chests out.

That said, everybody knows that high heels are not the most comfortable of footwear. They are a pain to walk in, literally. Most women will try to pretend they don’t hurt, especially when asked by a man, but the truth is our feet hurt like crazy at the end of the day! Those blisters are no joke!

I could go on and on about the merits and demerits of wearing high heels, but that is not what I want to address today. I want to address the tackiest thing I have seen since Shamballas.

Clearly, women love their high heels. Come Friday night, women everywhere get out their little black dresses and highest pair of heels, then hit the nightclubs. The night starts out fine with the women just chitchatting at the table.

As the night wears on, the alcohol kicks in and the music gets louder and our girls want to dance. The only problem is, gee whiz, how are they going to get down freely in those pesky high heels. Next thing you know, there are a bunch of barefoot girls gyrating around in the dance floor.

I can’t think of a more efficient way to lose your dignity in an instant! Ladies, if you have ever taken your shoes off to dance, you should be very ashamed of yourself! It is quite distasteful, not to mention unhygienic.

If you absolutely have to wear high heels and you absolutely have to dance, respect yourself a little and carry a pair of flats in your handbag. The filth on the floor is disgusting. Chances are you will get home and jump right into bed with icky feet because you are too drunk to wash them.

I find it odd that women who are otherwise dressed in elegant dresses don’t mind prancing around without their shoes on. A mature adult chooses an attire that is comfortable for all occasions. Ditch the heels if your aim is to dance the night away. Never stoop to that level. Don’t be that shoeless drunk woman at 3am!
