Hip-hop head Octopizzo, who is popularly known as Number Nane, would want to whisper one thing to the USA President Barack Obama: "Go ask President Uhuru Kenyatta to embrace hip-hop and local artistes as you do the likes of Jay Z".

Speaking to Pulse, Octopizzo said the government should not only look at the youth in terms of drugs and street crimes but also as dream carriers whose creative ideas can transform their lives and those of their fellow citizens.

"We need the president to create a forum where he can meet local artistes and listen to their ideas. Politicians are fond of using artistes during their campaigns to win the hearts of the youth only to desert them after they get to office. It makes them view us as cheap," he added.

Meanwhile, Octopizzo is set to launch his new album, dubbed LDPC (Long Distance Paper Chasers), a dedication to Kenyan athletes.
